RECYCLING PROFESSIONALS
It makes no difference how many pamphlets politicians and scientists print out about the subject of resource conservation. What is important is just how much of their message is actually taken in by society. Which is why we are doing everything in our power to take the notion of sustainability to where is will truly be absorbed – to kindergartens and classrooms.
Is there a better place to promote sustainability and foster an awareness for the environment than at kindergartens and schools? Probably not – which is why, a few years back, REMONDIS decided to develop the first ever nationwide educational project that focuses entirely on recycling and on conserving our planet’s natural resources. It was created with the help of teaching specialists in line with the latest educational findings and is aimed at children and teenagers aged between 5 and 15. The objective of the project is to make the youngsters more aware of the importance of protecting our environment and show them how they can act responsibly. A range of age and interest-related materials are available to help the children learn about what they themselves can do to ensure raw materials are recovered and returned to production cycles. By the way, this programme is becoming ever more successful. Besides the positive feedback we have received from teachers, this project has also been named one of the 1,000 steps towards a better and cleaner future – an award presented by KlimaExpo.NRW.
A detailed description of the project and all of the free teaching materials can be found at wertstoffprofis.de
The RECYCLING PROFESSIONALS has a range of teaching materials for kindergartens, primary schools and secondary schools
All of the RECYCLING PROFESSIONALS teaching material (which covers all years from kindergarten to Year 10) is free to use. Everyone can download it from the wertstoffprofis.de website. An offering that countless kindergarten and school teachers have already made the most of. The RECYCLING PROFESSIONALS teaching material has proven to be extremely popular in kindergartens and schools alike for many years now. In addition to their teaching material, the RECYCLING PROFESSIONALS also offer an interactive theatre show. As with the teaching materials, everything here focuses on the subjects of raw materials and recycling. These theatre performances are put together using a series of modules, enabling them to be adapted to the age of the children and their curriculum.
Everyone is encouraged to join in the RECYCLING PROFESSIONALS’ theatre shows
In 2016, our educational project was presented with an award by the German Council for Sustainable Development.
